We finished up our third record Art Of Losses and are really happy with how it came out. and looking forward to sharing it with you!
It was mixed by Brian Brown( Hooray for Earth, Paris Spleen,..andmany songs from our first two records) with additional mixing by Chris Stamey( Ryan Adams, The Rosebuds)
and mastered at MAGIC GARDEN(The Black Keys, The Shins)
The record is 12 songs and about 33 minutes.

We wrote this little song last week for a Swiss fan for her B-Day. We had a lot of fun creating it and she loved what we came up with. We have never met her but you wouldn’t know by the way we were carrying on!

Seattle 100: Portrait of a City is the culmination of a two-year personal project by renowned photographer, filmmaker, and social artist Chase Jarvis. Both a creative project and an insightful ethnography, Seattle 100 shares—via more than 300 stunning black-and-white portraits and biographies of each subject—a curated collection of leading artists, musicians, writers, scientists, restaurateurs, DJs, developers, activists, entrepreneurs, filmmakers, and more, all of whom are defining and driving culture in Seattle. Some faces you will know, other names you may have heard in passing, and others will have been unknown to you until now.

With this book, Jarvis has created a snapshot of a city’s culture through its people. And it’s inclusive. Descriptive rather than prescriptive. It’s a 100, not an exclusive the100, and it invites each of us to survey our own surroundings, our lives, our friends—and those not yet our friends—that make up the place we live, whether that’s Seattle or anywhere else. Individually, the images and words here introduce you to 100 engaging and important people. Collectively, this portrait of a city tells a fascinating, interwoven story about a unique and vibrant place.

Beyond the photos and commentary by Jarvis, there are pithy musings by a select handful of subjects on the topics of art, food, community, region, culture, and film. In addition, many of the subjects share their favorite things, places, and doings in and around the Seattle that they have explored, discovered, and rediscovered time and again.

We finished out the tour and all went our separate way to recover and lick our wounds. However we have to be in Las Vegas in a week for a somewhat secret show. I am looking forward to that.

Finally got our masters back for the new Blakes record. It is looking like it will be called “Low Low” 13 songs. It definitely sounds different then “Souvenir” More in the vein of 60′s girl group arrangements with a post punk rhythm section. ?? How can one describe there own music? I can’t. Anyway that should be available soon! Our project BEADS is also doing well with a new record being finished up and mixed this week. Full of great songs. totally different then the last BEADS record ” No One Knows” So, lots going on with us we will let you know more as it unfolds!

San Francisco and south

We have been having a great time so far on our West Coast run. Portland was great with The Dimes at the Doug Fir. I am sure that it is one of my favorite places to play. Good to see old friends and drink hot toddies! We drove out that night and ended up in a parking lot unfortunately for a couple of hours We then spent the next day winding our way out to the coast to laid back Arcata, Ca. The town has a certain permanent smell of something green

Things got a little crazy in Humboldt County. I contracted a fever and or food poisoning. I wasn’t sure i would make that one but once i got on stage …well you know the rest. The 2 encores with an 1 hour set was it for me and i collapsed in the van immediately after. Great show though and fun. We are on the 101 heading south at the moment. We pulled over in a little town and Bob walked into a record shop and got conned into unloading a truck full of records, boxes of whippets and a bunch of glass bongs. 20$ bucks later he is a happy man!
